Why volunteer Volunteer at ELHAP and make a real difference There are so many reasons to volunteer at ELHAP, including: Gain valuable work experience Develop your confidence and self esteem Complete your Duke of Edinburgh Award Volunteering (Bronze, Silver and Gold) Improve your CV and your employability Enhance your UCAS application Great foundation experience for studying teaching, medicine, nursing and social work Develop your skills Meet new people and network Find purpose and fulfilment Give something back to your community Help people less fortunate than you Anybody can apply to volunteer at ELHAP, no special skills or experience are required In order to volunteer you will need: To be 16 years or over A satisfactory DBS Enhanced Disclosure Two good references (these can be from your school, college, employer etc) Enthusiasm and commitment A willingness to get involved in all aspects of ELHAP An ability to fulfil the duties of a volunteer You will also need to be available on Saturdays during Term-time (doesn’t have to be every Saturday), and/ or weekdays during School holidays. And with our Flexible booking system, you can book which days suit you, including just Mornings or Afternoons.
