Playworkers (Orchard Project & Project Bloom) Vacancies
Part-time (1 – 4 days a week), one year fixed term contracts (with possibility of extension)
Salary: £13.15 an hour or £23,933 FTE
About the role
We are seeking two to three Playworkers for our pioneering ELHAP Orchard and Bridge Projects (we are open to applications for working one to five days per week). The Playworkers will help deliver the unique and innovative ELHAP Orchard Project that focuses on horticulture, conservation, the arts, building/carpentry and experience of nature for disabled young people and adults; and our newly developed Project Bloom which is a different kind of service - a springboard for young people and adults who want to gain valuable work and volunteering experience, develop skills, celebrate achievements,
The Playworkers will be members of the ELHAP integrated staff team, helping to ensure that our high quality, creative but spontaneous Orchard Project and Project Bloom are effectively delivered.
About you
To get the most out of the role the candidates will be motivated and passionate about offering disabled young adults unique opportunities on our Projects. You’ll also be up for working outside in all weathers. The successful candidate will bring an interest and passion for at least one key area: horticulture, arts, sports, nature/wildlife, music, building trades etc. You will also need some experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.

For 49 years we have provided fantastic services to many thousands of disabled children, young people and adults from across North East London and Essex.
