About the role

We are seeking two to three Playworkers for our pioneering ELHAP Orchard Project (we are open to applications for working one to five days per week). The Playworkers will provide direct support to service users and also help deliver the unique and innovative ELHAP Orchard Project that focuses on horticulture, conservation, the arts, building/carpentry and experience of nature for disabled young people and adults. The Playworkers will be members of the ELHAP integrated staff team, responsible for making sure that the high quality, creative but spontaneous Orchard Project is effectively delivered.

About you

The successful candidates will be confident to plan, deliver and evaluate a range of sessions and activities suitable for groups and individuals with diverse support needs. To get the most out of the role the candidates will be motivated and passionate about offering disabled young adults unique opportunities in our Orchard Project. You’ll also be up for working outside in all weathers. Naturally, you’ll need experience in supporting disabled adults and you’ll be up to speed with equality and diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding. Successful candidates will be part of our integrated team and will work across all of ELHAP’s projects including playground, transition project and events.
