Would you like to work in a magical ancient orchard woodland at an amazing local charity?

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity of creating a nature focused activity plan for this unique and wildlife rich site. This is a nature conservation role, with a focus on activity, to deliver educational and practical delivery outcomes. This is a crucial role as it will take us from offering informal nature sessions to developing an established, sustained Nature Play programme with clear outcomes. The Nature Activity Worker will design innovative projects to enhance the emotional and physical wellbeing of children and young people with disabilities and diverse care and support needs.  An important part of the role is to plan and deliver inclusive projects and workshops for schools and community groups that encourage direct engagement with the natural world.

About you

Along with excellent communication skills you’ll have experience of nature and conservation focussed projects, and successful delivery of nature / wildlife / conservation educational workshops. You’ll have experience of successful partnership working and an ability to understand the needs and expectations of different audiences, being able to communicate with them at the appropriate level including understanding of the importance of how engaging with nature can aid the physical and emotional development of children and young people with disabilities and additional support needs.

For 46 years we have provided fantastic adventure play experiences to many thousands of disabled children from across North East London and Essex. We are an independent charity in a unique and magical setting, unlike any other.
