All of our staff are checked for suitability via the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure checks and through suitable references checks.

    Robert Dighton
Manager

Robert is an experienced manager and supervisor of children’s services, who is a qualified play therapist as well as an experienced playworker with children with disabilities. For four years, he served as the programme convener of the Play Therapy programmes in the School of

    Psychology and Therapeutic Studies at Roehampton University. For 11 years, he developed and worked within the only specialist NHS children’s therapy service focusing upon grief, death and dying (based in Whipps Cross Hospital). For 8 years, he worked in adventure play with children and young people with disabilities. In addition, Robert is currently co-writing an Introduction to Play Therapy for Sage Publications and working towards his NVQ Level 4 in Child Care Learning and Development.

    Alyson Geggus
Administrator

Alyson has worked at ELHAP for 11 years, first working as a support worker at the Adult Service and as a playworker in the children's service. She has worked as the ELHAP Administrator for over 4 years and is responsible for financial controls and accounting.       Alyson worked in the mortgage and finance industry where she gained extensive experience of administration and accounting.

      Nicola Venus
Children's Service Co-ordinator

Nicola started working at ELHAP in January 2007. Previous to ELHAP, Nicola worked for a charity in Mid Wales, first as a volunteering and fundraising co-ordinator and then as schemes co-ordinator organising playschemes and  respite weekends

       
             
             
             
             
             
             
             
      for children and young people with disabilities. Nicola has experience of working as a playleader, support worker and a waking night carer. She also has a variety of voluntary and academic experience of children, disabilities and management.        
             
               
               
      Phillip Willis
Trainee Playworker

Phillip joined ELHAP as a volunteer after leaving school. He is currently working towards his NVQ Level 2 in Playwork and is particularly interested in health and safety issues. Phillip originally attended ELHAP as a young child and so offers an invaluable perspective to the ELHAP children's

       
             
             
             
             
             
             
             
      service. He is a qualified in First Aid at Work (HSE Approved). Phillip also helps with the building and maintenance of the outdoor play structures.

      Lindsey Caunter
Adult Day Service Support Worker

Lindsey has worked at ELHAP for many years, working both on the Playground and the Adult Day Service. She particularly enjoys cooking and gardening and is the nominated Adult Day Service Food Hygiene Officer.

      Angelique Holland
Adult Day Service Support Worker

Angelique has worked for ELHAP for over 3 years, after working in special education. She focuses upon communication development at the Adult Day Service.
